Terms of Service
What you can expect from us, and what we ask in return. Last updated August 14, 2026.
The short version
Read the articles, they are free. Buy a guide and it is yours to keep, for your own growing. If a guide is not what you hoped for, email us within 7 days and we refund you in full and you keep the files. We write carefully and cite our sources, but growing advice is general information, not a promise about your particular plants.
Using this site means you accept these terms. If you do not, that is completely fine, but please do not use the site.
Who we are
Pocket Green Guides is a hydroponics and urban farming publication at pocketgreenguides.com. It publishes free articles and sells PDF guides. Reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, print, and share links to anything published here. Please do not:
- Republish our articles or guides as your own, in whole or in substantial part.
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, or attempt to break, probe, or overload it.
- Resell, redistribute, or upload a purchased guide anywhere others can download it.
Quoting a paragraph with a link back is not just allowed, it is appreciated. If you want to use more than that, ask us. We usually say yes.
Growing advice is information, not a guarantee
Every number, dosage, and range on this site is researched against peer-reviewed journals, university extension services, and official manufacturer documentation, and the sources are cited so you can check them. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
It is still general information. Your water, light, climate, cultivar, and equipment are not ours, and results vary for reasons no article can anticipate. Nothing here is professional horticultural, nutritional, medical, or financial advice. Test on a small scale before committing a whole crop, follow the safety instructions on any product you buy, and handle nutrients and electrical equipment according to their manufacturers. Decisions you make in your own grow are yours.
Buying a guide
Guides are digital PDFs. Prices are shown on each guide's page in US dollars, and one guide is free. Payment is processed by Whop, our payment provider. The checkout runs on this site, but your card details go to Whop and their processors and are never seen or stored by us. Whop's own terms apply to the payment itself.
After payment you receive an email with a link to your files. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder and then email us. We will get it to you.
A purchase buys you a personal licence: read it, print it, use it for your own growing, including a grow you sell produce from. It does not transfer copyright, and it does not licence you to resell the file, share it publicly, or use it as course material or client deliverables without asking us first.
Refunds
Email us within 7 days and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. You keep the PDFs either way. We would rather have your trust than your $9.99. Send the request to [email protected] from the address you bought with, or tell us which address you used.
Ads and affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, including to Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We also show ads. Between them, that is what keeps the articles free to read.
An affiliate commission never buys a recommendation. We link to gear we would suggest anyway, and a product's presence in an article is not a warranty of it. What happens after you click through is governed by that retailer's own terms and privacy policy. How this affects your data is covered in the privacy policy.
Our content belongs to us
Articles, guides, illustrations, and the design of this site are our copyright, except where a photograph or source is credited to someone else. Photographs are licensed from their providers under those providers' terms.
Links to other sites
We link out constantly, because citing sources is the point. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
Availability and liability
We try to keep the site up and the guides correct, and we fix mistakes when we find them. We cannot promise the site is always available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and it is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or the guides, such as lost crops, lost profits, or damaged equipment.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer law that applies to you, and where that law gives you more than we offer here, that law wins.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes to refunds or licensing will be obvious on this page rather than buried.
